WHAT LOVE IS

Well it is Sweet Sweet Summertime and I can't think of a better way to enjoy my summer break than to dig into the Word! I am getting ready to start an online Bible study from this book. It starts today, June 16th. I hope you will join me!

Getting ready to start a new book study on the book, Broken Into Beautiful, by Gwen Smith. I am looking so forward to this study! I will be doing this study with Chris, my bff! She found the books for us at our local christian bookstore "Heavenly Treasures". Can't wait to start!

Oiling

Doterra essential oils have become my newest favorite thing! I was introduced to these essential oils by a friend/neighbor and I am loving them! Who knew there were so many natural remedies for our everyday ailments. So far I am using Lavender, Lemon, Peppermint, Onguard, Wild Orange, and Cypress. I also take a softgel which contains Frankincense, Wild Orange, Lemongrass, Thyme, Summer savory, Clove and Niaouli,  twice a day. Loving them all!!  So much more to learn!

back at it!

Wow its been awhile.....life has been busy!  My time has been well spent while I have been entwined in the everyday moments of my family.  I have been engulfed in this thing called life and I wouldn't have it any other way! 

I have also been finishing up a project that has been in the making for the past 5 years and I am looking so forward to sharing it with everyone very soon!! My prayer is for the Lord to use this project for His glory not mine and to put off the spirit of procrastination letting it all work out in His perfect timing.  It is so easy to get caught up in the moment and think about our wants and desires but I believe we are here for one reason and that is to give God glory! So, as I take the next step in my journey, I pray He will lead me, protect me, and bless me. Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

This book has been such a blessing to me and couldn't have came at a better time!

The Season of Lent

Lent is a time of prayer, fasting, repentance and preparation for the Easter celebration. This year I prayed and thought about what I felt the Lord might want me to give up for 40 days. I decided my sweet tooth needed a rest! So, I began this season of Lent by giving up all sweets, desserts etc. Now, half way to Easter, the Lord had other plans for me. It seems the Lord seen something in me, I was not able to see for myself. A battle I was about to take on with my Lord by my side. I have been going up and down emotionally for sometime and the Lord said, "try it my way". So, I surrendered it all to the Lord and gave up a few more things I hadn't even considered. Wow! is all I can say! I basically hit rock bottom, crying out to the Lord, praying for help and to be rescued from the ploys of Satan. Day by day, I am getting stronger. Thanks to all those who have covered me in prayer and the strength I get from my one and only, Jesus my Savior. I now realize, when we seek God and ask Him to show us His face and we are sincere about it, He will. It is at this point now, I realize the valley I have been in was not just satan and his deceiving lies, but the refining of my spirit and soul through Jesus Christ. I also realize the Lord has been right beside me, holding me every step of the way. How deeply moved I am to think that the Lord God Almighty from Heaven took the time to work on me, and am I so ever glad He did. I want to be what He wants me to be and through every storm, valley, and struggle I endure He will deliver me. Thank you Lord for every blessing, thank you for loving me. I fully trust You, to lead me and guide me every step of the way through my life.

Knowing God By Name

A Christmas gift from my sweet sister. An 8 week daily devotional to know God by name and draw closer to Him! Elohim, El Olam, Yahweh Tsuri! God The Creator, The Everlasting God, My Lord, My Rock!!

Christmas ....picking the perfect tree, decorations, parades, Christmas plays, Christmas parties, making candy, gifts, giving, spending time with family, making lots of memories, all in remembrance of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ!! 

Thanksgiving

My family and I were blessed with a wonderful Thanksgiving. I have so many things to be thankful for! Most of all I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and His Love!

Totally 80's 5K Night Race

Totally 80's 5k Night Race with some awesome friends! We had so much fun planning what we would wear as we flashback to the 80's. I had my fastest mile at 9:35!! woohoo:)

My first 5K....praising God, He is where my strength comes from.

"Multiply"

Thanks to our women's ministry we were given copies of the book "Mulitply". The book is about being a disciple of Christ and making disciples of others.

I am so excited about this study. My prayer is to fall deeper in love with Jesus and live my life according to His purpose.

Not a Fan

Just finished this book and I highly recommend it! Absolutely made me examine my relationship with our Lord and Savior.
